Ed Link, his sister Marilyn, and Harbor Branch founder Seward Johnson, standing next to the Cabled Observation and Rescue Device (CORD). Ed Link developed the CORD to improve rescue capabilities and withstand the strong currents of the Gulf Stream. Two Johnson-Sea-Link II submersibles are visible in the background.
