Edwin A. Link
Edwin A. Link, Jr. (1904-1981) was a prolific inventor, pilot, and undersea archaeologist from Binghamton, New York. Over the course of his life, Link's many creations, including the famous "Blue Box" flight simulator and the Johnson-Sea-Link submersible, changed the landscape of aviation and oceanic research forever. His long and distinguished career never strayed far from the belief that our ability to take to the skies and dive beneath the waves was only as limited as our imaginations.
This exhibit will follow Ed Link's life from his earliest childhood sketches to his treasure-hunting missions in Key West and beyond. As the exhibit progresses, click through the photographs to see the larger versions and their descriptions. Click on Early Life to get started!
