All About Me!
Hello! My name is Autumn Jacobs, and for the last several months I have been working on this project through the Library Research Scholars Program. Before this semester, I had engaged with zines a little and knew about their history, and this project has allowed me to research them in depth and share my knowledge with the Binghamton University community. I am immensely grateful for the mentorship of Jennifer Embree and Jillian Sandy on this project and the Binghamton University Libraries for their support of my research.
A little about me! I am currently a sophomore majoring in Art History and minoring in Italian. I currently work as a writing center tutor and museum guard at the Binghamton University Art Museum, where I spent two semesters interning. I also write for Pipe Dream, play on the women’s rugby team (go She-Devils!), and I am secretary for the Undergraduate Art History Association. Throughout my time at Binghamton, I have explored various facets of the arts and I am especially interest in feminist art, cinema, and women’s history, and hope to become a curator and professor.
I would love to talk more about this project, so please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions, book or article recommendations, or if you just wanna talk zines!
