Reports of demolitions
As a result of the fire, many houses were burned and turned to ashes. While there was a great resistance in the Hasırlı District for days, it was seen that the soldiers and special movement teams were trying to advance by demolishing the houses since the Turkish state forces could not enter the narrow streets of Sur with their crawler tanks. -
Residents not allowed to go back
The residents of Sur who entered their homes by submitting a petition to the district governor stated that there is not a single building to be used inside [the area]. One of the citizens said, “I went to my house this week. My house is in the Savas neighborhood. They haven't destroyed it yet, but they entered the houses and plundered inside. They also stopped the destruction, there are no bulldozers inside [the area]. Why don't they remove the blockade in Sur. This blockade has prolonged and we want to go home as soon as possible. ” -
