The Ocean
Birthplace of life, oceans are the defining characteristic of our planet Earth. Humans have depended on these waters as a source of sustenance, industry, and trade. Oceans have long been a source of mystery, wonder, and inspiration. And, yet while our survival is dependent on the ocean's health and vitality, we continue to pollute leaving an indelible mark on these natural resources. Our species' cultural past and future are necessarily intertwined in these bodies of waters. Students in SCHL 280S Creating Collective Memory have curated the following digital exhibition on the beauty, health, politics and wonder within these oceans.
